Public Health Emergency Extended, Once Again!
As a result of the continued impact of COVID-19 pandemic, HHS Secretary Becerra has renewed the Pubic Health Emergency (PHE) The renewal takes effect April 16, 2022, and runs through July 15, 2022.
While the renewal continues to allow providers (including hospitals and critical access hospitals) to care for patients via telehealth visits, not all waivers were renewed for the 90-day period. For certain facilities like skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, waivers will be phased out at 30 or 60 days.
